Swissport is set to expand its global airport services network into Colombia through the acquisition of GHI, strengthening its presence in the Latin American aviation and ground-handling market.
The transaction will allow Swissport to establish operations in the Colombian market and broaden its portfolio of airport ground services. GHI provides ground-handling and related aviation services, supporting airlines and other customers at airports.
Colombia is an important aviation market in Latin America, supported by growing passenger traffic and expanding air connectivity. Swissport’s entry is expected to strengthen its ability to serve airline customers operating in the country while adding new locations to its international network.
The acquisition is part of Swissport’s broader strategy of expanding its airport-services footprint in markets where demand for ground handling, cargo handling and other aviation support services is growing.
Following completion of the transaction, Swissport will integrate GHI’s operations into its global network while continuing to focus on service quality, operational efficiency and customer support.
The move further expands Swissport’s international presence and adds Colombia to its growing network of airport service operations across the Americas.
