    Texmaco Rail & Engineering has secured a major rail infrastructure order worth more than ₹4,045 crore in South Africa, marking a significant expansion of the company’s international business portfolio. The contract includes the supply of railway wagons, components and related engineering services aimed at strengthening freight rail operations in the region.

    The company said the project will support modernisation of rail transport infrastructure and improve cargo movement efficiency across key industrial and mining corridors. The order is expected to be executed over multiple phases and will involve manufacturing, technology integration and long-term operational support.

    Industry experts noted that the contract highlights growing opportunities for Indian engineering and rail equipment manufacturers in overseas infrastructure markets. The development is also expected to strengthen bilateral industrial cooperation and enhance India’s presence in the global rail manufacturing and export sector.
