Titagarh Naval Systems Limited (TNSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Titagarh Rail Systems Limited, has successfully launched the fifth and final Diving Support Craft, A24 (Yard 329), for the Indian Navy, marking the successful completion of the series under the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.
The launch represents a significant milestone in India’s indigenous defence shipbuilding programme and reinforces TNSL’s commitment to strengthening the country’s maritime capabilities through advanced, locally built naval platforms.
Designed as a modern catamaran-type vessel, the Diving Support Craft is equipped with advanced indigenous systems to support critical underwater operations, including diving missions, search and rescue, and maintenance activities. The vessel is expected to enhance the Indian Navy’s operational readiness by providing reliable support for specialised underwater tasks.
The launch ceremony was graced by Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh, AVSM, NM, Chief of Personnel, Indian Navy, along with Mrs. Kamal Singh, who officially launched the vessel.
With the successful completion of all five Diving Support Crafts, TNSL has further demonstrated its capability in delivering complex defence and commercial vessels. The company expressed its gratitude to the Indian Navy for its continued trust and support and reaffirmed its commitment to advancing India’s shipbuilding self-reliance in line with the national vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat.
