V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOC Port) recorded a 228.05% year-on-year growth in iron and steel materials cargo handling during April–August of FY 2026–27, compared with the corresponding period of FY 2025–26.

The sharp increase highlights the Port’s expanding cargo handling activity in the iron and steel segment and reflects its continued efforts to strengthen operational capabilities and improve cargo-handling efficiency. The growth further reinforces VOC Port’s role as an important gateway supporting India’s maritime trade and industrial supply chains.
