V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOC Port), Tuticorin, has registered a robust 41.7% year-on-year growth in Liquid Ammonia cargo during April–November 2025, compared with the corresponding period last year.

The significant rise underscores the port’s strong operational capabilities, efficient cargo handling systems, and reliable infrastructure, which continue to attract critical industrial cargo. Liquid Ammonia is a key input for fertiliser production and several downstream industries, making the growth strategically important for the regional economy.

The improved performance also highlights VOC Port’s pivotal role in supporting fertiliser manufacturing and essential industrial supply chains, ensuring timely availability of raw materials to domestic markets.

With consistent operational efficiency and a focus on facilitating bulk and liquid cargo, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority continues to strengthen its position as a key hub for energy and fertiliser-related cargo on India’s east coast.
