The 9000DWT ultra-low temperature refrigerated cargo ship “XIN XIANG LI 55” and “XIN XIANG LI 56”, which surveyed by China Classification Society (CCS) Zhoushan Office, were successfully delivered at Zhoushan Ningshing Ship Building & repairing Co., Ltd.

As the world’s largest ultra-low temperature refrigerated cargo ship, the vessels with length of 143.49 meters, were designed for ocean-going transportation in unrestricted water and features a refrigerated compartment with a capacity of approximately 11,500 cubic meters. Utilized with three-tier temperature zones (upper, middle, and lower) and coil cooling technology, the cargo compartments could be maintained at -55°C to suitable for storage and transportation of high-value fish like tuna.

During the ship construction, the CCS project team took the rigorous quality control from segment construction and hull assembly to equipment commissioning, low-temperature performance testing, and sea trials to ensure the vessel comply with international regulations and class standards. With the challenges of massive construction volumes and technical complexity, CCS Zhoushan Office provided the robust technical support to help the shipyard overcome technical bottlenecks and guarantee the smooth delivery.
