Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited (AKPL), a flagship asset of Adani Ports and SEZ Limited (APSEZ), has marked two major operational milestones this month, reinforcing its standing as a leading port on India’s eastern coast.

On 22nd September 2025, the vessel MV Eurybia, carrying 1,84,649 MT of imported iron ore for JSW Steel, berthed at Berth No. 5. AKPL achieved an all-time high discharge rate of 61,500 MT in 24 hours, setting a new benchmark in bulk cargo handling. The achievement reflects exceptional coordination across multiple departments and showcases the port’s operational efficiency and rapid turnaround capabilities.

In a first for AKPL, the port successfully handled 13,100 MT of Rock Phosphate for Blue Phosphate Ltd on the vessel MV Glamor, destined for the company’s plant in Kadapa district. Impressed with the port’s efficiency and service, Blue Phosphate Ltd has committed to routing all future shipments through AKPL, marking the port’s expansion into new cargo segments.

These milestones highlight AKPL’s commitment to operational excellence, customer-focused growth, and diversification, further strengthening its contribution to India’s maritime economy.
