    The New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) is set to celebrate its Golden Jubilee with a grand commemorative event on November 13, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stadium, Panambur, Mangaluru.

    The Hon’ble Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event will also be attended by the Hon’ble Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Shri Pralhad Joshi, and the Hon’ble Minister for Fisheries, Ports, and Inland Water Transport, Government of Karnataka, Shri Mankal Vaidya.

    The celebration is expected to draw a large gathering of port employees, officers, stakeholders, trade associations, port users, unions, students, and members of the public, reflecting the Port’s deep engagement with the regional economy and community.

    A key attraction of the event will be a special Exhibition Hall, highlighting NMPA’s five decades of growth and transformation. The exhibition will chronicle major milestones, infrastructure advancements, and the Port’s pivotal role in shaping India’s maritime trade. An Exhibition Van will also be launched to tour hinterland regions in the coming months, sharing the Port’s achievements and vision for the future.

    Following the main ceremony, Union Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal will interact with members of the press and media.

    Expressing delight at reaching this historic milestone, Smt. S. Shanthi, Deputy Chairperson, NMPA, extended a warm invitation to the media fraternity to be part of the celebrations. Captain Manoj Joshi, Deputy Conservator, NMPA, also encouraged media representatives to join the event and witness the Port’s remarkable journey as it embarks on a new era of growth and innovation.
