CMA CGM has launched a new service, Ocean Rise Express, aimed at strengthening its connectivity between Asia and Europe and enhancing transit reliability on one of the world’s busiest container trade lanes.
The Ocean Rise Express will provide direct port calls and optimised transit times, designed to support exporters and importers moving consumer goods, industrial products, and project cargo to and from key European gateways. The carrier said the new loop is structured to deliver improved schedule integrity and competitive lead times.
According to CMA CGM, the service will deploy modern, fuel-efficient vessels and leverage strategic transshipment hubs to streamline cargo flows. The launch forms part of the group’s broader strategy to expand capacity while improving network resilience amid evolving market dynamics.
The Europe trade lane remains a core market for global carriers, with demand shaped by shifting sourcing patterns, inventory adjustments, and sustainability requirements. Industry observers note that service enhancements such as Ocean Rise Express are increasingly focused on reliability and operational flexibility rather than just capacity expansion.
Customers have been informed of the initial sailing schedule, with the first voyage expected to commence in the coming weeks.
