    V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority has been honoured at the prestigious Greentech Energy Management Excellence Award 2026, securing two Gold Awards and one Silver Award for its outstanding achievements in energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.

    The port received Gold Awards in the categories of Measurable Energy Saving & Impact and Excellent Energy Management, while also earning a Silver Award for Renewable Energy Integration. The recognition highlights the port’s consistent efforts towards adopting sustainable and energy-efficient operational practices across its maritime and logistics ecosystem.

    The achievement reflects VOC Port’s commitment to environmentally responsible growth, operational excellence, innovation, and the broader goals outlined under India’s Maritime Vision 2030. Through continued investments in clean energy adoption and efficient resource management, the port has strengthened its position as one of India’s leading green ports.

    Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal lauded the achievement, stating that the recognition reinforces India’s push towards building a sustainable and future-ready maritime sector focused on green energy and low-carbon port operations.
