Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has signed an agreement with Maritech Integrated Maritime Pvt Ltd. to make a 5% share capital investment under CSL’s flagship USHUS Startup Programme.

The investment underscores CSL’s continued focus on fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, indigenisation, and digital transformation within India’s maritime sector. Through the USHUS initiative, CSL aims to nurture emerging startups and support technologies capable of strengthening the country’s maritime ecosystem while improving operational efficiency across the maritime value chain.

As part of its long-term innovation strategy, CSL has earmarked a corpus of ₹50 crore under the USHUS programme to support startups in the maritime sector. The initiative is being implemented in partnership with IIMK LIVE and Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
