Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog on June 11, 2026, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi. The meeting will focus on the theme “Inclusive Human Development for Viksit Bharat @2047”, aimed at ensuring the well-being and development of every Indian irrespective of age, gender, region, or socio-economic background.
The Governing Council Meeting will bring together Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors, Union Ministers, and senior NITI Aayog officials to deliberate on strategies for achieving inclusive and sustainable development across the country. Discussions will centre on translating the vision of Viksit Bharat into measurable outcomes through a collaborative “Team India” approach.
Key deliberations will be structured around four pillars: foundational human capital and future-ready skills, productive employment and entrepreneurship, health and nutrition, and equity and dignity for all. Participants are also expected to discuss measures to strengthen entrepreneurship, enhance skilling initiatives, and generate sustainable employment opportunities.
The meeting will further focus on developing an implementation roadmap supported by governance reforms, Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), partnerships, data-driven systems, and convergence among stakeholders. Emphasis will be placed on aligning state-level development visions with the national agenda for inclusive human development.
In addition, the Governing Council will review recommendations emerging from the 5th National Conference of Chief Secretaries held in December 2025. The recommendations cover five priority areas: early childhood education, school education, skilling, higher education, and sports and extracurricular development.
The meeting will be attended by Chief Ministers of States and Union Territories, Lieutenant Governors and Administrators of UTs, Union Ministers serving as ex-officio members and special invitees, along with the Vice Chairman, Members, and CEO of NITI Aayog.
