DHL Global Forwarding has expanded its global air freight network with the launch of TransPac Connect, a dedicated Transpacific service aimed at providing customers with more reliable cargo capacity and greater supply chain resilience between Southeast Asia and the United States.
The new service features a dedicated three-times-weekly freighter operation between Bangkok (BKK) and Cincinnati (CVG) using high-capacity widebody aircraft capable of carrying up to 100 tonnes of cargo per flight. The service is supported by an extensive U.S. road feeder network, enabling faster cargo distribution and broader domestic connectivity.
According to the company, TransPac Connect is designed to deliver consistent capacity, fixed schedules and improved reliability for time-sensitive shipments, helping customers manage supply chain disruptions and ongoing market volatility.
The service also extends DHL Global Forwarding’s Transpacific network by connecting Hanoi, Vietnam, and Taipei, Taiwan, to key U.S. gateways including Cincinnati (CVG) and Chicago O’Hare (ORD). The expanded network provides greater connectivity, secure main-deck capacity and improved flexibility for cargo moving between Asia and North America.
DHL Global Forwarding said the dedicated solution offers customers greater cost predictability and end-to-end operational control, particularly for oversized and high-value shipments.
The launch forms part of the company’s broader controlled capacity strategy to strengthen global supply chain resilience. DHL said the service is integrated with its dedicated air freight network across Asia, Europe and the Middle East, supported by multiple weekly freighter rotations through major hubs including Frankfurt, Liège, Amsterdam and Hong Kong.
The company added that continued investments in dedicated air freight capacity, together with synergies across DHL Group businesses and airline partners, are intended to enhance operational flexibility, improve service reliability and support customers in navigating evolving global trade patterns.
