ACL Airshop has signed a new ULD Management Agreement with Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) to manage the carrier’s pallet fleet, strengthening the company’s presence in the growing Central Asian air cargo market.
Under the agreement, ACL Airshop will provide comprehensive support for Azerbaijan Airlines’ Unit Load Device (ULD) operations. The scope includes inventory and stock control, movement monitoring, pallet positioning and recovery, repair coordination, airworthiness management and digital ULD tracking.
The partnership will combine ACL Airshop’s global ULD management network with its regional expertise and partner network across Azerbaijan, the Balkans and Central Asia. This is expected to provide AZAL with improved access to ULD stock, logistics resources and certified repair capabilities.
Efficient management of pallets and other ULDs is critical to airline cargo operations, as equipment needs to be available at the right locations while maintaining visibility and airworthiness. ACL Airshop’s digital tracking and inventory-management systems are intended to improve fleet visibility and operational efficiency.
The company said the agreement will help ensure that Azerbaijan Airlines has pallets positioned where they are required, while enabling faster recovery and repair coordination. The arrangement is also designed to provide a scalable platform as AZAL continues to modernise its fleet and expand its international network.

For Azerbaijan Airlines, the agreement is expected to strengthen control over its pallet fleet while improving operational visibility and equipment availability across its network. For ACL Airshop, the deal further expands its footprint in a strategically important aviation and logistics region.
The partnership comes as air cargo operators place greater emphasis on ULD availability, asset tracking and efficient equipment positioning to support expanding networks and control operating costs.
The agreement therefore marks another step in ACL Airshop’s expansion of its ULD management business, while giving Azerbaijan Airlines dedicated support for the management of its cargo pallet fleet.
