Adani Mundra Container Terminal (AMCT), operated by Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ), has achieved a new operational milestone by recording its highest-ever single vessel car loading throughput in January 2026.

The terminal successfully handled 5,701 cars with 145 GHR (Gross Handling Rate) in a single vessel operation, surpassing its previous record of 5,622 cars set in November 2025. The achievement underscores AMCT’s growing capabilities in handling high-volume automotive cargo with speed, precision and efficiency.

According to the company, the record performance reflects a strong focus on operational excellence, seamless coordination, and process optimisation across terminal operations. The milestone was made possible through the concerted efforts of on-ground teams and logistics partners working in close coordination.

Adani Ports and SEZ said the latest achievement further strengthens Mundra Port’s position as a leading automotive and container handling hub on India’s western coast, supporting the country’s expanding vehicle export ecosystem.

With consistent performance improvements and capacity enhancements, AMCT continues to raise benchmarks in port productivity and reinforce Adani Ports’ commitment to delivering world-class maritime and logistics solutions.
