Aequs Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tamil Nadu to establish a large-scale Aerospace & Defence manufacturing cluster at SIPCOT Shoolagiri, Krishnagiri district. The signing was witnessed by Hon’ble Chief Minister Thiru MK Stalin and Hon’ble Minister for Industries Dr. TRB Rajaa, marking a significant milestone in Tamil Nadu’s ambition to become a strategic hub for high-technology manufacturing.

The proposed cluster will focus on aero-engine components, landing gear systems, ultra-precision machining, and advanced aerospace systems and sub-assemblies. Aequs, along with its partners, plans an investment of up to INR 4,000 crore, with INR 1,900 crore from Aequs Limited as the anchor investor, to develop integrated manufacturing facilities.

The project is expected to create around 7,000 jobs, promoting local talent development and boosting Tamil Nadu’s integration into global aero-engine and aerospace supply chains. This investment further strengthens the State’s position as a preferred destination for advanced Aerospace & Defence manufacturing in India.
