APM Terminals Pipavav, an integrated cargo and inland services company, has signed a five-year contract with state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) to serve as its strategic supply base partner.

The collaboration will enable ONGC to establish an offshore oil and logistics base at the multi-cargo Pipavav Port, strengthening the port’s role in supporting India’s critical offshore operations.

“Our port capabilities, focus on reliability, and collaborative approach ensure that we deliver impactful solutions for India’s offshore logistics needs. This alliance reflects our commitment to supporting national development while maintaining high standards of operational excellence,” said Girish Aggarwal, Managing Director at APM Terminals Pipavav.

The partnership aims to advance India’s energy security while providing world-class port infrastructure to enhance ONGC’s efficiency in servicing offshore assets. Leveraging Pipavav Port’s proximity to key oil fields in Tapti and Kutch, the collaboration will provide safe, reliable, and well-equipped facilities to support offshore operations.

APM Terminals Pipavav’s multi-modal infrastructure, integrated warehousing, and strategic location are expected to ensure operational efficiency, supply chain resilience, and reliability for ONGC and the broader oil and gas sector, contributing to India’s energy security and economic growth.

For Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd (GPPL), the agreement opens a new business segment and underscores the port’s capability to deliver complex, high-impact solutions, positioning it as a key player in shaping India’s offshore logistics landscape.
