CMA CGM has introduced a rail service linking Bordeaux and surrounding export regions to global markets via Le Havre’s Terminal de France.

The service complements the group’s Atlantic maritime feeder covering the Bassens area.

Running five times per week in both directions, the rail connection offers a two-day transit time and links with six of CMA CGM’s core maritime services serving Asia, India, the Middle East, North America, and Africa.

The initiative supports modal shift objectives and contributes to reducing the environmental footprint of freight movements.

Recently, the CMA CGM Group actively expanded its operations through the Port of Koper, the Adriatic’s foremost port and a key gateway to Central Europe.

Additionally, the French shipping line signed a letter of intent with Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) for six LNG-powered containerships.
