CMA CGM has announced the addition of a new port call at Port of Montreal to its CAGEMA service, strengthening connectivity between key trade routes and North America.

The move is aimed at enhancing service coverage and providing customers with improved access to the Canadian market. By integrating Montreal into the rotation, CMA CGM is expected to offer more flexible routing options and reduced transit times for cargo moving between Europe, the Mediterranean, and North America.

The Port of Montreal serves as a major gateway for containerized cargo in Eastern Canada, with strong intermodal links to inland destinations. Its inclusion in the CAGEMA service is likely to support growing trade volumes and facilitate smoother cargo flows across the Atlantic corridor.

Industry analysts note that the expansion reflects CMA CGM’s ongoing strategy to optimize its network and respond to evolving customer demand amid shifting global trade dynamics.

With this addition, CMA CGM continues to reinforce its position as a key player in global container shipping, focusing on service reliability and expanded market reach.
