CMA CGM has announced an increase in its Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates for shipments from Asia to Mediterranean destinations, as the carrier adjusts pricing on the trade amid changing market conditions.

The revised rates will apply to dry cargo moving from key Asian origins to ports across the Mediterranean. The new tariff covers multiple container types and destinations, with rates varying according to the specific origin, destination and equipment used.

The rate increase is expected to raise ocean freight costs for exporters shipping goods from Asia into Mediterranean markets. Shippers and freight forwarders are advised to review the revised tariff and factor the higher charges into upcoming shipments.

The latest adjustment comes as container shipping lines continue to modify freight rates on major east–west trades in response to demand, vessel capacity, operating costs and market conditions.

CMA CGM said customers should contact the carrier or their local representatives for detailed rates and applicable terms for individual shipments.
