COSCO SHIPPING has launched its first transatlantic service operated by one of its self-managed refined-product tankers, marking a significant milestone in the company’s global energy transportation network.
The service was inaugurated with the recent call of the LIAN XI HU at London Thamesport in the United Kingdom, establishing a direct shipping link between COSCO SHIPPING’s refined oil transportation networks across Asia, the Americas and Europe.
The new route strengthens the company’s global presence in the energy transportation sector and enhances its ability to provide integrated logistics solutions for refined petroleum products across major international markets.
According to COSCO SHIPPING, the launch of the transatlantic service reinforces its commitment to delivering safe, reliable and efficient transportation services for both crude oil and refined petroleum products. The company said the expansion of its self-managed tanker operations will further improve connectivity between key energy markets while supporting the resilience of global energy supply chains.
The new service represents another strategic step in COSCO SHIPPING’s efforts to expand its international energy transportation capabilities and strengthen its position in the global tanker shipping industry.
