Greek bulker owner Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with Oldendorff Carriers for one of its post-panamax vessels.

The company hired the 2012-built, 98,704 dwt bulker Polymnia. The gross charter rate is $14,000 per day, minus a 5% commission paid to third parties, until a minimum of April 10, 2026, up to a maximum of June 10, 2026.

The charter is expected to commence on August 17, 2025, and generate approximately $3.28m of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.

Diana Shipping’s fleet consists of 36 dry bulk vessels – four newcastlemaxes, eight capesizes, four post-panamaxes, six kamsarmaxes, five panamaxes, and nine ultramaxes.

The company also expects to take delivery of two methanol dual-fuel newbuilding kamsarmax bulkers by the second half of 2027 and the first half of 2028, respectively.

Currently, the combined carrying capacity of the fleet, excluding the two vessels not yet delivered, is approximately 4.1m dwt with a weighted average age of 11.72 years.
