Alta Capital-backed Ecobox has acquired a 38.5-acre land parcel in Bhiwandi to develop a large-scale logistics park spanning approximately 1.3 million square feet.

The proposed development is expected to cater to growing demand for Grade A warehousing and distribution infrastructure in one of India’s key logistics hubs. Bhiwandi, located near Mumbai, has emerged as a preferred destination for warehousing due to its proximity to major consumption centers and connectivity to ports and highways.

According to industry sources, the logistics park will feature modern warehousing facilities designed to support sectors such as e-commerce, retail, third-party logistics, and manufacturing. The project is also likely to incorporate advanced infrastructure, including efficient storage systems and technology-enabled operations.

The acquisition reflects increasing investor interest in India’s logistics real estate sector, driven by rapid growth in consumption, supply chain modernization, and expansion of organized warehousing.

Experts note that demand for high-quality logistics assets continues to outpace supply in key markets, prompting developers to scale up investments. Strategic locations like Bhiwandi are expected to remain focal points for such developments due to strong connectivity and established industrial ecosystems.

With this project, Ecobox aims to strengthen its footprint in the logistics infrastructure space, contributing to the development of efficient supply chains and supporting India’s growing warehousing needs.
