    In a bid to boost exports and harness the potential of e-commerce, the FIEO Kerala Chapter, in collaboration with DGFT-RoCochin and the North Malabar Chamber of Commerce (NMCC), organized an ‘E-Commerce Exports Promotion and Outreach Program’ on 13th August 2025. The program aimed at facilitating e-commerce exports from Kerala and was attended by nearly 100 exporters and IEC holders.

    The event was inaugurated by Sri S.K. Rahman, IRS, Chief Commissioner of Customs, who also delivered a presentation on customs procedures during e-commerce exports. Sri Hassan Usaid, NA, ITS, Deputy DGFT, offered the keynote address covering e-commerce export concepts, India–UK FTA, and key policy provisions.

    Technical sessions featured insights from industry experts including Sri Sathian N, Marketing Executive, Calicut Division India Post, Mr. Deepak R, Regional Sales – South, Amazon Global Selling, and Mr. Abhilash Gopinathan, Export Logistics and E-Commerce, DHL Express (India) Pvt. Ltd.

    Speaking at the program, Mr. T.K. Ramesh Kumar, President, NMCC, Mr. K.V. Divakar, Director, NMCC, and Sri Rajeev MC, Asst. Director, FIEO, highlighted the importance of leveraging e-commerce platforms to expand global market reach and drive Kerala’s export growth.

    The program is part of DGFT’s initiatives under the ‘District as Export Hub Scheme’, aimed at promoting exports through e-commerce at the grassroots level, offering local exporters a platform to engage with global marketplaces and logistics partners.
