Freightos, the Barcelona-based digital booking and payment platform for the international freight industry, has announced a change in its Board of Directors, marking a key governance update as the company navigates leadership transitions and strategic growth.

In the latest development, Dr. Zvi Schreiber — founder of Freightos — has informed the company of his decision to step down from the board, with his departure effective February 28, 2026. The company said the board remains fully constituted under relevant governance requirements even after his exit.

Schreiber, who spent more than a decade helping build Freightos into a publicly-listed digital freight platform, was thanked by the board and management for his leadership and contributions to the company’s mission of digitising global freight across airlines, ocean carriers, freight forwarders, importers and exporters.

Freightos said its search for a permanent Chief Executive Officer continues as planned, with the board ensuring continuity in oversight and corporate governance. The leadership transition follows earlier announcements related to executive succession and strategic focus on expanding the company’s digital freight services worldwide.

The company’s platform supports real-time pricing, booking, shipment management and payments for global trade, and also provides industry pricing indexes such as the Freightos Air Index (FAX) and Freightos Baltic Index (FBX), used by market participants including carriers and forwarders.

Investors and industry observers will be watching how the board change influences execution of Freightos’ growth strategy and the ongoing leadership search in the coming months.
