    The Gandhidham Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) organised a felicitation and interactive session with Shri Dilip Chauhan, former Deputy Commissioner for Trade, Investment & Innovation, New York, and former Deputy Comptroller, Nassau County, USA, to explore global trade, investment, technology and business opportunities for Kutch industries.

    GCCI President Shri Teja Kangad welcomed Shri Chauhan, while Secretary Shri Mahesh Tirthani highlighted Kutch’s strategic importance, major ports, logistics network and diverse industrial base.

    Shri Chauhan described Kutch as the economic capital of Gujarat, citing its industries, ports, infrastructure and business potential. Discussions covered rice and agricultural exports, timber, Kutch Kesar mangoes, US market access, outsourcing, student exchanges and global business networking, along with FDA compliance and international competitiveness.

    Emphasising the growing role of Artificial Intelligence, data and innovation, Shri Chauhan urged businesses to invest in technology and AI-enabled models. He invited a GCCI delegation to New York and assured support for trade, investment, startups, education, technology and international cooperation.

    The programme marked an important step towards strengthening Kutch–USA business linkages and opening new avenues for global trade and investment. The visit was organised by Shri Mukesh Acharya, MD, Radisson Hotels, Gandhidham-Kutch.
