A German business delegation visited the Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA) to discuss opportunities in maritime trade, port infrastructure and potential areas of cooperation between India and Germany.

The delegation held discussions with port officials on Mumbai Port’s operations, infrastructure capabilities and its role in supporting India’s maritime trade. The talks also covered opportunities for greater collaboration in the maritime and logistics sectors.

Mumbai Port serves as an important gateway for cargo and passenger traffic and has been undertaking infrastructure and modernisation initiatives to strengthen its position in India’s maritime network.

The visit provided an opportunity for the German business representatives to gain a closer understanding of the port’s facilities and explore potential areas for investment, technology cooperation and business partnerships.

The discussions are part of broader efforts to strengthen India-Germany economic and trade ties, with the maritime sector offering opportunities in port development, logistics, shipping and related infrastructure.

The Mumbai Port Authority is expected to continue engaging with international business and maritime stakeholders to identify new opportunities for cooperation and support the growth of India’s maritime trade.
