India and Brazil convened the 8th meeting of the Trade Monitoring Mechanism (TMM) in Brasilia, reaffirming their commitment to expanding bilateral trade and investment and strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was co-chaired by Shri Rajesh Agrawal, Commerce Secretary, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, and Ms. Tatiana Prazeres, Secretary of Foreign Trade, MIDC, Government of Brazil.

The discussions focused on addressing non-tariff measures, improving reciprocal market access and facilitating greater business-to-business integration between the two economies.

Both sides identified agriculture and agro-commodities, pharmaceuticals, renewable and clean energy, digital technologies and critical supply chains as key priority sectors offering significant potential for deeper collaboration.

The deliberations also underscored the shared objective of transforming existing trade challenges into new opportunities and developing a resilient roadmap for sustained and long-term economic partnership between India and Brazil.
