    The Government of India has continued its focused push towards strengthening the country’s logistics ecosystem through the Logistics Ease Across Different States (LEADS) initiative and the LEAPS 2025 awards, recognising outstanding performers across the logistics and supply chain sector.

    Under the LEADS framework, States and Union Territories were categorised based on their logistics development and infrastructure capabilities to enable targeted reforms and evidence-based planning.

    Among the key classifications announced:

    • Growth-Seekers: Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Assam were identified as regions at a foundational stage of logistics system development and institutional strengthening.
    • Union Territories under the Growth-Seekers category included Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Chandigarh, Ladakh and Lakshadweep.
    • West Bengal was recognised under the Coastal States category, while Rajasthan featured among Landlocked States.
    • In the North-Eastern States category, Sikkim secured recognition.
    • Andaman and Nicobar Islands was acknowledged among the Union Territories category.

    The LEADS initiative has emerged as a crucial policy tool for strengthening logistics efficiency, reducing logistics costs and enhancing India’s competitiveness through data-driven planning and monitoring mechanisms.

    Meanwhile, the LEAPS 2025 awards celebrated excellence across logistics, warehousing, transportation, startups and institutional leadership.

    • TVS Industrial and Logistics Parks⁠ – Warehouse Service Provider (Industrial & Consumables)

    MSME Category:

    Startup Category:

    The recognition of states, institutions and logistics service providers under LEADS and LEAPS 2025 reflects India’s ongoing commitment towards building an integrated, technology-driven and globally competitive logistics ecosystem aligned with the vision of PM Gati Shakti and the National Logistics Policy.
