Korean Air has announced the deployment of Ramco Systems’ aviation software platform to digitise its engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations, marking a significant step in its digital transformation journey.

The airline will use Ramco’s aviation suite to streamline engine maintenance workflows, improve asset visibility, and enhance operational efficiency across its MRO ecosystem. The move is aimed at reducing turnaround times, improving maintenance accuracy, and strengthening compliance with global aviation standards.

Industry sources indicate that the digital platform will help Korean Air integrate maintenance data across multiple systems, enabling real-time tracking of engine health and maintenance schedules. This is expected to support predictive maintenance capabilities and reduce unscheduled aircraft downtime.

Ramco Systems, known for its aviation MRO solutions, continues to expand its global footprint by partnering with major airlines and maintenance providers to modernise aviation operations through cloud-based and AI-driven tools.

The adoption reflects a broader industry trend toward digitalisation in aircraft maintenance, as airlines seek to optimise costs and improve fleet reliability amid rising operational complexity and demand recovery in global air travel.
