A.P. Moller-Maersk (Maersk) has opened a new 20,000 square feet Ground Freight (MGF) Station in Savannah, GA, expanding its integrated logistics network across the US.

The facility, equipped with three docks and a dedicated fleet, will provide pickup and delivery (PU&D) services in the Savannah market, improving speed, reliability, and local control for customers.

Savannah is a central link in Maersk’s US network, anchored by the Port of Savannah, one of North America’s fastest-growing gateways.

Its location offers direct access to I-95 and I-16, connecting efficiently to major Southeastern markets including Atlanta, Jacksonville, Charleston, and Charlotte.

The new station complements Maersk’s existing Contract Logistics sites in Savannah and follows recent Ground Freight facility openings in Lake City, GA, and Dallas–Fort Worth, TX, creating a regional network of integrated services.

Bob Livingston, Head of Maersk Ground Freight Operations, North America, said: “This opening reflects our commitment to building a stronger, more connected logistics network across the US Savannah is an important part of that journey, helping us deliver integrated solutions that simplify supply chains for our customers.”

In November, Maersk celebrated the opening of its flagship logistics centre in Shanghai’s Lin-gang area, marking one of the company’s largest global warehousing investments.
