Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has successfully completed its six-vessel LNG carrier newbuilding project for China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), following the delivery of the final vessel, Greenergy Cloud, on July 1, 2026.
The vessel was named during a ceremony on June 17 before being safely delivered, marking the conclusion of a project that began with the signing of the shipbuilding contract in January 2022.
The six-vessel series, from Greenergy Ocean to Greenergy Cloud, represents more than four years of shipbuilding, coordination and collaboration involving the shipyard, project teams and numerous internal and external partners.
MOL said the successful completion of the programme reflects the commitment, expertise and teamwork of all stakeholders involved in the project.
With the delivery of the sixth vessel, the company has brought the CNOOC LNG carrier programme to a successful close, while highlighting the experience and knowledge gained through the project as a foundation for future opportunities in the LNG shipping sector.
