Oman’s Transport Ministry has partnered with RAM to advance the country’s logistics sector, supporting efforts to strengthen transportation services, improve operational efficiency and enhance Oman’s position as a regional logistics hub.

The collaboration reflects Oman’s broader ambition to develop an integrated logistics network connecting ports, road transport, warehousing and international trade routes. By bringing together government planning and industry expertise, the partnership aims to support the development of logistics capabilities and improve coordination across the supply chain.

Oman’s strategic location along major international shipping routes gives it an important role in regional and global trade. Its ports and transport infrastructure provide connections to markets across the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe.

Strengthening logistics services is also important for improving cargo movement, facilitating trade and attracting investment. Greater coordination between transport operators and public authorities can help address operational challenges, improve connectivity and support more efficient movement of goods.

The logistics sector is a key component of Oman’s economic diversification strategy, which seeks to expand non-oil activities and create new business opportunities. Continued investment in infrastructure, technology and transport services is expected to support this objective.

The Ministry–RAM partnership represents a further step towards developing Oman’s logistics ecosystem. Details of the specific projects, implementation timeline and operational targets were not provided in the headline.

Further information on the agreement’s scope will help clarify how the collaboration is expected to contribute to Oman’s long-term logistics development.
