PSA has strengthened its presence in Italy’s intermodal logistics sector with the establishment of PSA Padova, following the signing of a final agreement between PSA Intermodal Italy and Logtainer for the management of the intermodal terminal at Interporto Padova.
The new venture marks a significant milestone in enhancing Padua’s position as a strategic logistics gateway along major European freight and intermodal corridors. Leveraging the terminal’s modern infrastructure and strong connectivity to the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), PSA Padova is expected to improve cargo movement between inland terminals, seaports, and international transport networks.
The development will facilitate faster, more efficient, and sustainable freight transportation across Northeastern Italy, further strengthening regional and cross-border supply chain connectivity.
PSA stated that the establishment of PSA Padova reflects its ongoing commitment to developing resilient, open-access, and multi-user logistics ecosystems that enhance operational efficiency and create long-term value for customers and supply chain partners.
The agreement also reinforces PSA’s strategy of expanding its integrated port and inland logistics network, supporting seamless intermodal solutions and sustainable freight transportation across Europe.
