PSA Mumbai has achieved a major milestone by successfully handling MSC MICOL (24,346 TEU) — the largest container vessel ever to call at PSA Mumbai and Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA).

The mega vessel measures 399.9 metres in length and 61.3 metres in width, built on the advanced ‘MGX24’ design with a configuration of 24 bays long and 24 bays wide.

This historic arrival highlights PSA Mumbai’s world-class terminal infrastructure, operational excellence, and growing capability to handle next-generation ultra-large container vessels (ULCVs).

A New Era in Mega-Ship Handling
The call of MSC MICOL reinforces PSA Mumbai’s role as a premier gateway on the west coast of India and a key hub in global shipping networks. It showcases the terminal’s readiness to meet the evolving needs of global trade with enhanced efficiency, capacity, and connectivity.

A landmark moment for Indian maritime logistics!
