Mwani Qatar has highlighted the growing role of Hamad Port in strengthening Qatar’s position as a regional trade, logistics, and supply chain hub amid expanding maritime connectivity and cargo activity.

According to the company, Hamad Port has continued to enhance its operational capabilities through infrastructure expansion, advanced cargo handling systems, and increased shipping connectivity with international trade routes. The port has become a key gateway for containerised cargo, bulk shipments, and regional transshipment operations.

Officials said the port’s strategic location and integrated logistics infrastructure have helped improve supply chain resilience and support Qatar’s economic diversification goals. Hamad Port also plays an important role in facilitating trade flows for industries including construction, manufacturing, food supply, energy, and consumer goods.

Industry analysts noted that Gulf ports are increasingly competing to strengthen their positions in regional and global logistics networks by investing in digitalisation, multimodal transport integration, and capacity expansion. Hamad Port’s continued growth reflects rising demand for efficient maritime gateways capable of supporting international trade and regional distribution.

Mwani Qatar stated that the port’s development has contributed to improved cargo handling efficiency, reduced transit times, and enhanced connectivity with major shipping lines and logistics operators worldwide.

The expansion of Hamad Port is part of Qatar’s broader strategy to strengthen economic resilience, attract trade-related investments, and position the country as a major logistics and maritime services centre in the Middle East.
