Tea exporters see Russia as a key market for expanding shipments, particularly as Indian producers seek to diversify exports and strengthen their presence in overseas markets. Orthodox tea, known for its distinctive flavour and premium positioning, remains an important segment of India’s tea exports.
The stronger commercial relationship between India and Russia could therefore provide additional opportunities for Indian tea producers and exporters, while supporting growth in shipments to the Russian market.
