SOHAR Port has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer as part of a leadership reshuffle aimed at supporting the port’s continued growth and strengthening its position as a key logistics and industrial hub in the region.

The leadership change comes as SOHAR Port continues to expand its role in Oman’s maritime, logistics and industrial sectors. The port serves as an important gateway for regional trade and provides access to international shipping routes.

The new CEO will oversee the port’s operations and strategic development, with a focus on strengthening customer services, improving operational efficiency and supporting future investment.

SOHAR Port has developed into a major integrated port and industrial complex, handling container, general cargo, bulk and liquid cargo while supporting a wide range of industrial activities.

The leadership transition comes amid increasing competition among regional ports to attract shipping lines, cargo owners and industrial investments. Efficient operations, strong connectivity and integrated logistics services remain key factors in maintaining competitiveness.

The new leadership is expected to build on SOHAR Port’s existing capabilities and support its long-term development as Oman seeks to strengthen its position as a regional logistics and trade hub.
