Cathay Cargo has reported continued growth in cargo volumes, supported by strong trade demand across Southeast Asia. The region remains a key driver of the airline’s freight business, with robust exports and expanding cross-border commerce sustaining high shipment levels.

The carrier said demand has been particularly strong for electronics, e-commerce goods, perishables, pharmaceuticals and high-value manufactured products moving through its network. Increased production activity and resilient consumer demand across Southeast Asian markets have contributed to steady cargo flows.

Cathay Cargo’s extensive network, centred on its Hong Kong hub, has enabled the airline to efficiently connect Southeast Asian exporters with major markets in Europe, North America and the Middle East. Ongoing investments in capacity, digital solutions and service enhancements have further strengthened its ability to meet growing customer requirements.

The airline also noted that the continued recovery of regional supply chains and the expansion of air cargo services have helped improve connectivity and operational efficiency. Strong demand from Southeast Asia has offset softer conditions in some other markets, supporting overall freight performance.

Looking ahead, Cathay Cargo expects Southeast Asia to remain a major growth engine for its business as regional trade, manufacturing activity and e-commerce continue to expand. The airline remains focused on enhancing network connectivity and delivering reliable cargo solutions to support international trade.
