In a significant boost to rail-led export logistics, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited has inaugurated a dedicated warehouse at the Inland Container Depot (ICD) Garhi Harsaru in Gurgaon, marking a strategic step towards streamlining its export operations.

The new facility, developed to provide seamless multimodal connectivity, integrates warehousing and rail infrastructure under one roof—enabling faster and more efficient movement of two-wheelers to global markets. The inauguration was accompanied by the flag-off of an export train directly from the ICD, underscoring the operational readiness of the hub.

Located in a key logistics corridor, ICD Garhi Harsaru offers direct rail connectivity, making it an ideal export gateway for manufacturers seeking reliable and cost-effective supply chain solutions.

Officials highlighted that the “warehouse-to-wagon” model reflects the growing emphasis on integrated, rail-based EXIM logistics in India. The facility is expected to reduce turnaround time, improve cargo handling efficiency, and enhance overall export competitiveness.

The ICD operator expressed gratitude to Suzuki Motorcycle India for placing its trust in the facility and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering customised logistics solutions. Acknowledgement was also extended to stakeholders and partners whose collaboration enabled the project’s successful execution.

The development aligns with India’s broader push to strengthen multimodal logistics infrastructure and promote rail as a sustainable and efficient mode of cargo movement.
