Umesh Madhyan, a seasoned supply chain leader with over 24 years of experience, has been newly appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of LEAP India.
LEAP India is a leading supply chain solutions provider specializing in pallet and container pooling, as well as Returnable Packaging Solutions (RPS). The company plays a pivotal role in streamlining logistics operations for businesses by offering efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions.
Prior to joining LEAP India, Madhyan held the role of Vice President – Logistics at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, where he managed one of the largest and most intricate logistics networks in India.
During his tenure at Hindustan Coca-Cola, Madhyan spearheaded groundbreaking innovations in supply chain and logistics. He introduced India’s first automatic loading dock, a revolutionary system capable of loading a truck in under three minutes without human intervention. At the Wada Factory, he implemented one of the most economical Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), setting new standards for cost-efficient automation. Additionally, he led the establishment of India’s first fully automated warehouse in Telangana, which can dispatch 350 trucks daily with just one person per shift, incorporating
advanced robotic technology for mixed-pallet creation. These achievements underscore his visionary leadership in transforming logistics operations.
With more than 25 years of experience, he has pioneered all the functions of Supply Chain including Procurement, Demand and Supply Planning, Customer Service, Warehousing & Transportation and his favorite stint of “end to end” supply chain leadership including manufacturing for West India.
A recognized leader in the industry, Mr. Madhyan serves as the president of the SCALE (erstwhile CVSCL) and is a steering committee member of renowned organizations like AMCHAM, CII, and USIBC. His innovative mindset and strategic acumen have consistently delivered a competitive edge in the supply chain domain.
