VOC Port marked a significant presence at India Maritime Week 2025, joining hands with global maritime leaders to chart the Green & Digital Sea Corridor — a pioneering initiative linking India and the Netherlands through sustainable and technology-driven shipping solutions.
The session, themed “Where Innovation Meets Sustainability,” spotlighted collaborative efforts to decarbonise maritime trade and enhance digital connectivity across ports. Discussions delved into key areas shaping the future of global shipping — hydrogen bunkering infrastructure, digital technology integration, regulatory alignment, and strategic partnerships driving the transition to climate-resilient trade routes.
Representing VOC Port, Mr. Susanta Kumar Purohit, Chairman, shared the Port’s vision of aligning India’s maritime growth with global sustainability goals. He emphasised VOC Port’s ongoing initiatives to promote cleaner fuels, digital port operations, and collaboration with international stakeholders to build an efficient, future-ready ecosystem.
Mr. Purohit was joined on the distinguished panel by:
Mr. Martijn Thijsen, Head of Global Connect Customer Digital – Port of Rotterdam
Mr. Hari Dattatreya, Senior Vice President, Energy Markets & Asset Transition – Vopak
Ms. Clare Harris, Executive Director – Power2X
The discussion was moderated by Mr. Mandar Joshi, KPMG India, who guided the dialogue on fostering synergy between innovation and sustainability in maritime operations.
The event underscored the shared commitment of India and the Netherlands to build green corridors that integrate clean energy, digital systems, and international cooperation — setting the stage for a smarter, greener, and more resilient global supply chain.
As VOC Port continues to lead India’s green port initiatives, its participation at India Maritime Week reaffirms its role as a key enabler of sustainable maritime trade and innovation.
