Shri Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, Chairperson, and Shri Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS, Deputy Chairperson of V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, Tuticorin, held a strategic meeting today with Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), in New Delhi.

The discussions centred on fast-tracking VOC Port’s transition towards green and sustainable port operations. Key focus areas included the development of a dedicated offshore wind terminal, enabling the adoption of renewable marine fuels for shipping lines, and setting up a specialised green methanol bunkering facility at the Port.
