    CMA CGM has announced the implementation of several Peak Season Surcharges, effective from 1 January 2025, until further notice.

    The first surcharge applies to cargo originating from Mediterranean ports, including France (Fos/Marseilles), Portugal, Italy, Spain (Algeciras, Valencia, Barcelona, Sagunto, Vigo), and Morocco, with destinations on the US East Coast, the US Gulf, and all inland destinations accessed via these ports.

    The surcharge for dry and reefer cargo is set at US$250 per 20′ container and US$500 per 40’/40’HC and 45′ containers.

    Additionally, the French carrier will introduce a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for shipments originating from North European ports, including North France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scandinavia, Poland, the Baltics, North Spain (Bilbao, Gijon), Portugal, and Türkiye , bound for the US West Coast and all inland destinations accessed via these ports.

    The surcharge for dry cargo is US$250 per 20′ box and US$500 per 40’/40’HC and 45′ containers, while reefer cargo incurs the same rates of US$250 per 20′ containers and US$500 per 40’/45′ containers.

    Furthermore, a separate Peak Season Surcharge applies to shipments originating from Türkiye destined for the US East Coast, the US Gulf, and all inland destinations reached through these ports. For both dry and reefer cargo, the surcharge is set at US$300 per 20′ container.

    Lastly, CMA CGM has announced a surcharge for cargo originating from all ports in North Europe, including North France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scandinavia, Poland, the Baltics, North Spain (Bilbao, Gijon), as well as West Mediterranean ports such as France (Fos/Marseilles), Portugal, Italy, Spain (Algeciras, Valencia, Barcelona, Sagunto, Vigo), Morocco, and Türkiye, with destinations in Canada East Coast and all inland destinations accessible via these ports.

    The surcharge for dry cargo is US$250 per 20′ container and US$500 per 40’/40’HC and 45′ containers. For reefer cargo, the rates remain US$250 per 20′ container and US$500 per 40’/45′ boxes.
