Yang Ming will establish a new China-Thailand Express (CTE) service in early January 2025 to increase its intra-Asian competitiveness.

Yang Ming presently offers four routes between China and Thailand.

The new CTE service, which provides a 21-day round-trip with set weekly sailings, aims to increase container transportation flexibility to better suit client demands.

According to Yang Ming, the CTE port rotation will be:

    Shanghai – Ningbo – Xiamen – Nansha – Laem Chabang – Shekou – Shanghai.

Recently, Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd. (OOCL) enhanced connectivity between China and Thailand with the introduction of the new China Laem Chabang Service (CHL2).
