Paradip Port on Sunday entered its name in the history by winning the title of 46th All India Major Port Football Championship 2024-25
after notching up a thrilling 5-4 victory over VOC Port, Tuticorin in penalty shootout at Gopabandhu Stadium, as the both the teams went goalless in regulation time. Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest, Shri P. L. Haranadh, Chairman, PPA & Shri Nilabhra Dasgupta, Dy Chairman presented the winner & runners up trophiees. Visakhapatnam Port Authority was also felicitated for fair play.
8 Major Ports were vying for top honours over the last 5 days of the tournament. Paradip Port Authority along with Major Ports Sports Control Board smoothly organised the sports extravaganza. Shri D.N. Sondhi, Chairman, Organising Committee presided over the award ceremony proceedings. Dr. D.P. Sethy, Secretary, Shri Rabi Dash, Co-ordinator & Shri Ranjan Rashmi Beura, Jt. Secretary of Organising Committee were also present.
