    A vessel carrying  11,500 metric tonnes of boiled rice from India has arrived at Chittagong Port.

    This delivery is part of a larger import deal under an open tender contract (Package-2), which encompasses the import of 450,000 MT of rice from India in total, according to a press release today (24 March).

    To date, 285,769 MT of rice have already arrived in the country.

    Sample testing of the rice on board has already been completed and the unloading process is set to begin shortly.

    Authorities have taken all necessary measures to ensure the swift and efficient unloading of the rice, added the release.
