    V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOC Port), Tuticorin, has recorded a remarkable surge in timber logs traffic, underscoring its growing strength as a key maritime gateway for timber and allied trade.

    During the period April–November 2025, timber logs cargo handled at the Port registered an impressive 176.02% Year-on-Year growth compared to the corresponding period April–November 2024. This substantial increase reflects the Port’s enhanced cargo-handling efficiency, improved infrastructure, and streamlined operational processes.

    The strong growth also highlights increasing confidence among trade stakeholders in VOC Port’s capabilities, reliability, and service quality. With continuous infrastructure upgrades and a customer-centric approach, the Port is steadily reinforcing its strategic importance in supporting regional trade and contributing to the growth of the maritime and logistics sector.
