Global integrated container logistics firm AP Moller‑Maersk is planning to expand its operations and investments in Uttar Pradesh, following a high‑level meeting between the company’s leadership and the state government on Monday, February 2, 2026.

The discussions took place between Rene Piil Pedersen, Managing Director of AP Moller Maersk, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, focusing on potential avenues for Maersk to broaden its presence in the state’s rapidly growing logistics and industrial ecosystem.

Uttar Pradesh’s expansive expressway network, logistics hubs, industrial corridors and modern infrastructure were highlighted as key attractions for further investment. The state government reiterated its commitment to providing necessary land, connectivity and policy support, along with an investor‑friendly environment featuring single‑window clearances and time‑bound approvals.

Maersk, which has been present in Uttar Pradesh for over 20 years, expressed optimism about exploring new investment opportunities that could enhance its operations and contribution to the local logistics landscape. Company representatives noted positive experiences with the state’s stable and transparent business environment and cooperation from authorities.

The potential expansion comes as Uttar Pradesh positions itself as a major logistics and industrial hub in northern India, leveraging ongoing infrastructure development and pro‑business policies to attract global investors.
