Adani Logistics has marked a significant milestone by successfully executing its first containerized grain rake movement for the Food Corporation of India (FCI), transporting foodgrains from Ludhiana in Punjab to Ahmedabad in Gujarat.

The initiative represents a major step forward in modernising India’s agri-logistics ecosystem. By leveraging containerised rail transportation, the movement enhances cargo safety, reduces handling losses, and ensures greater reliability and efficiency compared to conventional bulk movement.

The successful execution also underscores Adani Logistics’ growing role in strengthening multimodal logistics solutions for essential commodities, supporting seamless and sustainable supply chains across the country.

This development aligns with national priorities to improve foodgrain transportation infrastructure and reinforces the use of rail-based logistics as a safer, cost-effective, and environmentally efficient mode for long-haul agri-cargo movement.
